A Conversations inbox that never gets cleared becomes a list of things you stop looking at. Archiving completed conversations keeps your active inbox focused on current interactions so nothing important gets buried.
Archiving Conversations
When a conversation is genuinely complete, archive it. To archive: open the conversation, click the three-dot menu in the top right, and select Archive. The conversation disappears from your active inbox but remains accessible by searching the contact's name or filtering to Archived.
A conversation is ready to archive when: the question has been answered, the sale is complete with all follow-up handled, or the client is in an active workflow that does not need manual attention. Do not archive conversations that have an open action item — star them instead.
Using Conversation Tags
Tags can be applied to conversations for easier filtering. Common useful tags: Hot Lead, Follow Up, Client Active, Refund Request. Create conversation tags at Settings → Tags, then apply them from within any conversation using the tag icon. Filter your inbox by tag to surface all conversations with a specific status.
A Weekly Inbox Routine
Once a week: filter to Starred and process every starred conversation. Archive the ones that are done. For the rest, take action or keep the star. Then filter to Open and archive anything you missed. This keeps your active inbox representing only what actually needs attention.
