Connecting your own domain means every page, funnel, and course URL carries your brand name instead of a generic platform address. It takes about ten minutes to configure and up to 48 hours for DNS to fully propagate — though in most cases it's much faster.
MONDAi is built on GoHighLevel infrastructure, which handles domain connection through a CNAME record process. You don't need a technical background to do this. Follow the steps in order and move carefully through the DNS portion.
Open two tabsHave your MONDAi account open in one browser tab and your domain registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.) in a second tab. You'll switch between them during setup.
Before You Start
- A domain you own, purchased through any registrar
- Login access to your domain registrar's DNS settings
- A subdomain chosen —
courses.yourdomain.com,members.yourdomain.com, orfunnels.yourdomain.comare common choices
Steps
1
Go to Settings → Domains
In the left sidebar click the gear icon to open Settings, then select
Domains.2
Click Add Domain
Select
+ Add Domain and enter the subdomain you want to connect — for example, courses.yourdomain.com.3
Copy the CNAME target value
MONDAi displays a CNAME record after you add the domain. Copy the target value exactly as shown.
4
Add the CNAME record in your registrar
In your registrar's DNS settings, add a new CNAME record: Type: CNAME | Host: just the subdomain prefix (e.g.,
courses) | Value: the CNAME value from MONDAi | TTL: Auto or 36005
Save the DNS record
DNS changes begin propagating immediately. Full propagation can take a few minutes or up to 48 hours.
6
Return to MONDAi and click Verify
Back in
Settings → Domains, find the domain you added and select Verify. If DNS has propagated, the status updates to connected. If not, wait 15–30 minutes and try again.7
Assign the domain to your funnels or courses
Once verified, you can select this domain when building pages in Sites or setting up your Memberships portal.

Common Mistakes
- Entering the full domain instead of just the subdomain prefix. If connecting
courses.yourname.com, entercoursesas the Host field — the registrar adds the root domain automatically. - Clicking Verify before DNS has had time to propagate. Wait at least 15 minutes after saving the record. A failed verify is not a sign something is broken — just wait and try again.
- Using an A record instead of a CNAME. MONDAi requires CNAME records for this connection. An A record will not work.
- Trying to use your root domain directly. Many registrars don't support CNAME on root domains. Always use a subdomain.
