Your booking calendar should reflect reality. If you are not available Friday afternoons, that slot should not exist. If you have a week off next month, no one should be able to book it. Availability settings ensure your calendar only offers real options.
Steps
1
Open availability settings
Go to Calendars, click Edit on your calendar, and navigate to the Availability section.
2
Set standard working hours
Toggle each day on or off. For active days, set start and end times. You can add multiple time ranges within a day for a lunch break. Example: Mon 9am–12pm and 2pm–5pm.
3
Block specific dates
Use Date Overrides to block individual dates regardless of working hours. Add holidays, travel days, and any other dates you want closed.
4
Set advance booking requirements
Minimum notice: How far ahead must someone book (24 hours prevents same-day bookings). Maximum advance: How far in the future someone can book (30–60 days is typical).
5
Preview the booking page
Open your booking URL and verify only correct dates and times show. Check that blocked dates are not appearing.
Common Mistakes
- No minimum advance booking time. Without a minimum, someone can book a session starting in 10 minutes. Set a minimum that gives you time to prepare.
- Forgetting to block holidays and travel. Working hours are generic weekly rules. Add date-specific blocks for all planned unavailability.
- Timezone mismatch. Confirm your account timezone in Settings → Business Profile matches your working location.
