NoteBuffer time is invisible to the person booking. They see only the session duration. Buffer simply removes adjacent slots from the visible calendar.
Back-to-back sessions with no gap are unsustainable. A 15-minute buffer after each session gives you time to write notes, reset, and prepare for what is next. Set it once and it applies to every booking automatically.
Steps
1
Open the calendar in edit mode
Go to Calendars, find the relevant calendar, and click Edit.
2
Find buffer settings
Look for Before Buffer and After Buffer fields in the calendar configuration.
3
Set before buffer
Add preparation time before each session if needed. 5–15 minutes is typical.
4
Set after buffer
Set recovery and note-taking time after each session. 10–20 minutes is common for coaching sessions.
5
Save and verify
Open the booking page. If you have a 60-minute session with a 15-minute after buffer, the next available slot should start 75 minutes after any existing booking, not 60.
Common Mistakes
- Same buffer for all calendar types. A 20-minute call and a 90-minute session need different buffers. Configure per calendar.
- Forgetting buffer cuts into available booking hours. A 30-minute after buffer on 60-minute sessions means each session takes 90 minutes of calendar space.
