Not every student comes through a checkout page. Beta testers, team members, coaching clients getting bonus access, guests you've invited — all of them need to get into your course without running a transaction. Manual access grants handle exactly that.
There are two places inside MONDAi where you can grant course access manually. Which one to use depends on whether you're starting from the student or starting from the course.
Course must be publishedDraft courses cannot accept manual enrollments. Confirm the course is in Published status first.
Two Paths to Manual Access
Path A: Grant Access from the Contact Record

Go to Contacts and find the contact
Search for them. Create a new contact record if they're not in your CRM yet.

Find the Memberships section
Scroll or navigate to the Memberships or Actions section of their contact record.

Click Grant Access
Select the course and confirm.

MONDAi sends a login invitation
If new to the portal, they receive an email to set their password.
Path B: Grant Access from Inside the Course

Go to Memberships → Courses
Open the course.

Open the Students or Members list
Navigate to the Students or Members tab.

Click Add Student
Enter the email address. MONDAi creates a contact record if one doesn't exist.

Confirm the enrollment
The student is added immediately and receives a login invitation.

Common Mistakes
- Granting access to an unpublished course — must be in Published status.
- Granting access and not confirming the login email was sent — check the contact's activity log.
- Using manual grants for large groups — use an import workflow or automation for bulk enrollments.
- Forgetting to revoke access when it's no longer appropriate — manual grants don't expire automatically.
