Offering a payment plan expands your accessible market. A $1,497 program paid as three monthly installments of $549 makes the same transformation available to people who cannot commit the full amount upfront.
Steps

Open the program product
Go to Commerce → Products and open the product for your program.

Add a payment plan pricing option
Click Add Pricing Option. Select Payment Plan or Installment as the type.

Configure the installments
Enter: amount per payment, number of payments, and billing interval (monthly or weekly).

Offer both options on checkout
If you want to incentivise full payment, add both pricing options to the same product. Display per-payment amount and full-pay total clearly.

Test the installment flow
Sign up with a test contact using the payment plan. Verify the first payment charges, access is granted, and subsequent charges are scheduled correctly in Stripe.
Common Mistakes
- Not testing beyond the first payment. Verify the installment schedule is set up correctly in Stripe, not just the first charge.
- Same total for installments as full pay. If there is no incentive to pay in full, most buyers will choose installments. Add a small full-pay discount.
- No plan for failed installments. Set up a workflow to notify the client and provide a payment update link when an installment fails.
