Steps

Go to Affiliates or Marketing → Affiliates

Open the Affiliates dashboard
Review the top-level metrics: total clicks, total conversions, total commission owed.

Click into individual affiliate records
See: unique link, click count, conversion count, conversion rate, commissions earned, commissions paid.

Monitor for attribution gaps
If an affiliate reports a referral that is not showing, check the cookie duration setting and whether the buyer used the correct link.

Mark commissions as paid
When you process a commission payment, update the status in the affiliate record to Paid.
Reading the Data
- High clicks, low conversions: the affiliate is driving traffic but the offer page is not converting for their audience
- Low clicks: the affiliate is not actively promoting — check in and provide support or promotional assets
- High conversion rate: this affiliate's audience is a strong match — provide additional resources and consider increasing their commission
Common Mistakes
- Not regularly checking who is actually converting — a program you are not monitoring is a program that can go sideways.
- Forgetting to mark commissions as paid — the dashboard becomes inaccurate and affiliates lose trust.
- Not following up with non-performing affiliates — they may just need better promotional copy or a different offer to promote.
- Running the program with no minimum payout threshold — processing small individual commissions creates administrative overhead.
